pgAdmin is a free software project released under the PostgreSQL/Artistic licence. The software is available in source and binary format from the PostgreSQL mirror network. Because compiling from source requires technical knowledge, we recommend installing binary packages whenever possible.

This installer includes the PostgreSQL server, pgAdmin; a graphical tool for managing and developing your databases, and StackBuilder; a package manager that can be used to download and install additional PostgreSQL tools and drivers. PgAgent is a job scheduler for PostgreSQL which may be managed using pgAdmin. Prior to pgAdmin v1.9, pgAgent shipped as part of pgAdmin. From pgAdmin v1.9 onwards, pgAgent is shipped as a separate application.

pgAdmin 4 is a complete rewrite of pgAdmin, built using Python and Javascript/jQuery. A desktop runtime written in C++ with Qt allows it to run standalone for individual users, or the web application code may be deployed directly on a webserver for use by one or more users through their web browser. The software has the look and feel of a desktop application whatever the runtime environment is, and vastly improves on pgAdmin III with updated user interface elements, multi-user/web deployment options, dashboards and a more modern design.

pgAgent is a job scheduler for PostgreSQL which may be managed using pgAdmin. Prior to pgAdmin v1.9, pgAgent shipped as part of pgAdmin. From pgAdmin v1.9 onwards, pgAgent is shipped as a separate application.

Why yet another PostgreSQL GUI client? Why not just pgAdmin?

Well, pgAdmin is great for its feature-richness. However, I found its UI is clumsy and complicated. I know there is a list of PostgreSQL GUI Tools. Viewit 2 66 – image viewer image. However, they are either web-based, Java-based^* or don't support the features I want. In the good old MySQL world, my favorite client is Sequel Pro, but its support for PostgreSQL doesn't seem to be happening. So, I decided to make one myself.

* Macaw 1 5 13 – code savvy web design tool. No offense to the Java community. I am a Java developer myself and I like JVM a lot. I just dislike Java desktop apps personally.

Is PSequel open source?

Is PSequel a forked version of Sequel Pro?

No, PSequel is written from scratch in Swift 2, although PSequel's UI is highly inspired by Sequel Pro.

Why macOS 10.10+ only?

I am developing PSequel in my spare time. By supporting macOS 10.10+ only, I can keep the codebase simpler and save time by not testing it in older versions of macOS. And, less code, less bugs.

What's the current status of PSequel?

Banktivity 7 4 2010. PSequel is still in its early stage. Compress 1 0 3 – image compression stockings. My plan to implement most features in Sequel Pro. If you think a feature is important, please let me know and I'll adjust its priority based on its popularity.

Use Github issue tracker. Please try not to create duplicate issues. Check up 3 0 1 download free. If you are reporting multiple bugs or suggesting multiple features, please create separate issues for each bug/feature.
